YOGA: to yoke, to unite. The philosophy, science and practice of union, or connection
There are many interpretations of the Sanskrit word ‘Yoga’, and there are similarly many ways to practice this ancient science to live a nurtured balanced and vibrant life. It is as vast, expansive and complex as the ocean, and at the same time as simple as taking the time to sit, be in the sensations of your body, and become aware of your breath. For me, Yoga is about awakening a deeper connection with my true nature. The part of me that feels grounded, is in tune with what I need from moment to moment, has purpose, and is engaged with the world around me. I believe the experience of Yoga will be unique to each individual who takes the time to explore it..
