What I love about Ayurveda is the emphasis on the idea that we are multidimensional beings. We are not just the physical body, but also emotional, mindful and spiritual creatures. The teachings help us explore how to connect deeply with all of these different, yet connected parts of ourselves- and to bring this awareness into our daily life.
AYURVEDA translates from Sanskrit as "The Science of Life": Ayur - meaning ‘life’, and Veda – meaning ‘science/knowledge. It is a holistic health supporting system that has been practiced in India for over 5,000 years. It is a practical, living science that helps us cleanse, restore and create more harmony in our modern and often imbalanced lives.
As we begin working together we will take the time to discuss all aspects of your life. This gives me an idea of what your current lifestyle is like as well as understanding how your life experience has shaped you into who you are today. This will include your work life, stress levels, sleeping patterns, eating habits, relationships, lifestyle and exercise routines. By understanding your unique history and life experience we can begin to tailor routines and lifestyle adjustments that are going to be the most supportive and nourishing for what you need at this moment in time.
